Sharon Bjorck, M.A., TESOL, is the founder and owner of Workplace English Consulting (WEC). As a language training specialist for 30 years, she designs and implements customized, innovative, and interactive training opportunities for multi-lingual speakers. She provides her services to businesses for their employee groups or individuals, as well as to multi-lingual speakers in other settings. Sharon has trained thousands of people, having taught community college credit classes in academic ESL for 25 years. She has a passion for teaching creatively--whether online or in person--and imbuing a hunger for learning in her trainees. Now, through WEC, Sharon is investing her talents in helping people who desire to enhance their English skills—thereby improving their job performance and/or advancing their careers. Outside of WEC, Sharon enjoys spending time with her husband and their cat, cooking new vegan recipes, crafting, and hiking in the local foothills in Southern California.

"English for Scientists" Course Testimonials
Sharon Bjorck was selected by the U.S. Department of State to teach in the prestigious Virtual English Language Educator Program. (See Press Release Archives for more information.) For this program, she custom-designed (without the aid of AI applications) 17-week and 14-week live-online courses to meet framework set by the U.S. Department of State Regional English Language Office in Kyiv, Ukraine and the NGO Kunsht. All of the participants were scientists, researchers, and/or academicians in physical or social sciences at approximately a B1 level of English proficiency. The courses focused on developing communicative speaking and listening skills essential for this population. Thus far, she has taught five different groups hosted by this NGO.
